My hope, by your involvement in this study, is that I will be able to discern with greater clarity the mysterious process by which people become more Christ-like in their self understanding and in their behaviors. I believe that you to will benefit from this study, not only by your participation, but also by having the results of this research available to you once the dissertation is completed. Dissertation Advisor: Dr. Brian Rapske, ACTS Seminaries, Phone # 604-888-7592 Purpose: The purpose of this study is to gain understanding into the mysterious process by which we become more Christ-like in our self understanding and behaviors with a focus on the role of the imagination in that process. Your survey feedback will contribute to this study alone. Procedures: You will be asked to practice a one hour bible reading based on simple instructions and then will fill out a survey form based on your devotional experience. You may contact me by email if you have any questions about the survey at spiritualformationresearch@yahoo.com (subject line “Survey Question”). Potential Risks and Discomforts: There is minimum potential that this devotional reflection and introspection regarding the experience in response to the questionnaire will cause emotional distress. Your participation is voluntary and you have the right to withdraw at any time. Potential Benefits to Participants and/or to Society: This devotional exercise has the potential to help you in your personal spiritual growth. You will also have access to the completed dissertation at the future date. This study will contribute to the ongoing research in effectively communicating the gospel to others in preaching, teaching and other spiritually formative practices. Confidentiality:

the dissertation, you may send a personal email to the above address. No link to your survey
data will be made;
thus anonymity is guaranteed.

author of this study promises to protect your identity and commits to
keeping
all anecdotal references reported anonymous.
Along with the author of this study, only a
dissertation advisor will be
able to read your responses.
Your
responses will only be evaluated for their spiritually formative
qualities. All raw
research survey data
will be owned by the author alone, will be used for this study alone
and all
